Class Day BBQ with the Team

The Class Day BBQ is served up by the Stewards to the team and also free (donations accepted) to all of the parents, friends and alums at the crewhouse after the races.

On the menu are beef, chicken or garden burgers; hot dogs; chips, cookies, and a beverage, and maybe apples from an eastern Washington alum and maybe candy bars if we're hungry when we do the shopping.

Class Day Awards, including the naming of the 2009 captains, inspirational athletes, and academic award winners, begin about 11:30.  Join us also for the shell dedication of the Hunter, 2008 Olympic Champion 8 (the USA women rowed the Hunter to victory in Beijing), a special gift to the program by the Simpson family.

The BBQ will begin about 11:00, or when the coals are hot.  It is served up on a first come, first served basis - once the food is gone it's gone - so get there early!  See you there!

Note: the main Dining Area upstairs will be reserved for a private reception beginning at 11:00 a.m.  The bbq will be at the north end of the boathouse apron at dock level, and tents will be set up in case of inclement weather on the north side of the shellhouse.
